Does using a medical excuse to limit a workout routine make you a wuss?

Definitely not. If you are in pain and your body can't handle it, it isn't your fault you can't do it. If it were you complaining you had a stomach ache when you didn't to sit out, that's a different thing, but it isn't your fault when you're in pain, so take it easy and don't feel bad.
